I would like to introduce our latest acquisition to the JAA website. I hope that he will become a regular contributor to the expansion of the site. I would like to welcome David Watts, former editor of Mississippi Outdoors Magazine and Co-Author of Birds of Mississippi, published in 1999 by University Press of Mississippi.


He is an avid astronomer and an active member of the Jackson Astronomical Association.


If you would please turn your attention to the menu bar at the top of the page, you will notice a new page has been added for David. This page will have his “column” that will be published for the JAA site. It will be filled with his adventures in the art of observing, tips and tricks for beginning observers and some wonderful antidotes of daily life.
